INCCA 2010 Peruvian Project Moving Forward

            The INCCA Foundation Board of Directors has approved the 2010 project to be held in the Andes Mountains of Peru.  Due to the very positive feedback from last year’s extended effort, volunteers may participate anytime between June 7 and 18, 2010.  A greater emphasis will be placed on remote screening to ensure participation at 2 to 3 rural sites each week. 

Further, INCCA, in conjunction with CerviCusco, will conduct a larger Pap test campaign in Cusco.  This will allow INCCA volunteers to enjoy practicing at the new CerviCusco clinic.  As in previous years, we will be obtaining Pap tests, performing VIA, colposcopy and electrosurgical loop excision procedures.  Limited, low cost housing is available at CerviCusco. 

A barbeque dinner on the scenic roof of CerviCusco is planned.  As always, volunteers can also explore the wonders of Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley.
